This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.
In adopting this Privacy Policy, our intent is to balance our legitimate business interests in collecting and using information obtained through our websites with your reasonable
expectations of privacy.
We take your privacy rights seriously. This Privacy Policy is your assurance that we never
take your privacy for granted and always take the utmost care in protecting your personal information. We comply with and are subject to obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Personal Information
We collect your personal information so we can process and manage your treatments and product selection in addition to medical information which could contravene or restrict your treatments.
If you do not provide your information, we may not be able to service your needs.
The personal information we collect, and hold is what we consider reasonably necessary for our business functions and activities. When we collect and hold personal information, it is generally of the kind we ask for to provide our services and what arises from those services.
This personal information may include your first name, surname, email address, residential address, postal address, phone numbers, date of birth, mother’s maiden name, emergency contact details and place of birth. We may also ask several optional demographic questions that are used to assist us with anonymous internal research and development purposes. On occasions, we may also receive sensitive information such as health information, including medicines that you currently use or have previously used, and any other information which you consent to give us and to which we are permitted to collect under law. It will also extend to other personal information you make available to us including to create an account with us. We may also collect information including your IP address when visiting our website.
You have the option of not identifying yourself or of using a pseudonym when dealing with us. But not where this is impractical or where the law or a court order provides otherwise.
Where required by law, we are required to disclose your personal information to the
relevant state or territory training authority.
Peaceful Beauty may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by Peaceful
Beauty to conduct research on Peaceful Beauty’s behalf or facilitate matters associated with Peaceful Beauty.
We are committed to compliance with privacy laws which apply to our businesses, and
which set out standards for the management of personal information.
Peaceful Beauty utilises manufactures, markets and distributors for relaxation, beauty,
skincare and sunscreen products, skincare regimes and associated products for use and
sale both online and through retail means.
Collecting, holding, using and disclosing personal information
When we collect personal information about you, we do so by making a record of it. We
do this when:
• you communicate with us online, for example when you create account with us or
utilise the service of one of our Peaceful Beauty or distributors;
• you subscribe to our newsletter;
• you take part in any trade promotions, testimonials, surveys or focus groups we are
involved in conducting;
• you provide personal details to Peaceful Beauty during the course of a transaction
with them;
• you deal with us in other ways involving a need for personal information to be
provided such as when you make contact with us.
We may also collect personal information about you by accessing data from other sources and then analysing that data together with the information we already hold about you in order to facilitate a better service to you by us or our associated entities. When you visit our websites, social media pages or mobile applications or click on our advertisements displayed on the online media of other companies, we may collect information about you using technology which is not apparent to you, for example “cookies”. If you fail to accept the use of cookies, you may not experience optimum website performance.
We may also collect information about you from third parties, including department stores or technology service providers to provide, and continue to provide, our products and services to you. By providing your personal information and placing an order with us or one of our distributors, you consent to such behaviour by us.
In addition to the above information, we may collect the following sensitive information
(which includes health information):
• photographs of you before and after your treatment;
• file notes about your skin, your treatment, medical conditions and your leisure
activities (for example, a customer who is frequently exposed to the sun may require
extra care when managing their skin);
• details of your medical history, including but not limited to imaging history, test
results, medical conditions, treatments, allergies, medications and use of health
services;
• where relevant, family history and lifestyle information, which may include
information about your occupation and genetic information; and
• your health service preferences.
We will only use sensitive information to provide our products and/or services to you, and to market our products and/or services to you. This information will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose without your consent, except where disclosure may be required by law or is necessary to protect the rights or property of Peaceful Beauty, Peaceful Nature and associated entities, any member of the public, or to lessen a serious threat to a person’s health or safety. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, sensitive information is a subset of personal information.
Holding of personal information:
Personal information we hold is generally stored in computer systems. These may be
operated by us or by our service providers.
When we collect, hold and use your personal information, we do so primarily to:
• ensure that our services are tailored to your specific beauty and skin care needs;
• maintain our customer records;
• allow you to participate in activities such as patient consultations, and beauty and
skin care services provided online or at our salons;
• respond to any request for products or services;
• fulfil orders placed with our manufacturers or external parties by any means
(including through our website)
• provide newsletters, compile and maintain mailing lists derived from our websites,
from our clinics or from other entities within the group and communicating with
persons on those lists;
• maintain a record of enquiries, complaints and adverse event reports relating to
Peaceful Nature products and services and associated entities.
• understand your requirements and provide you with the appropriate product or
service which includes assessing, diagnosing and treating a patient’s presenting issue
or concern;
• monitor the progress of our services to you and tailor the services to suit your needs;
• set up, administer and manage our products and/or services;
• gather and aggregate information for statistical, reporting and research purposes;
• perform tasks in connection with purchasing products provided to customers;
• manage, train and develop our employees and representatives;
• assess a person’s application for employment with us;
• deliver service and company updates and newsletters to you, to inform you about
new products, services or information about us;
• fulfil administrative, marketing (including direct marketing), promotional, planning
and quality control purposes;
• manage complaints and disputes and report to dispute resolution bodies;
• respond to inquiries;
• get a better understanding or you, your needs, your behaviours and how you
interact with us, so we can engage in product and service research, development
and manage the delivery of our services and/or products via the way we
communicate with you; and
• for potential franchisees, determine whether there is a suitable investment
opportunity available,
• or for purposes as required or permitted by any law, including the Privacy Act.
You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some or all of the features of our products and/or services. It may also inhibit us from personalising your products and/or services to suit your individual needs. For potential franchisees, if you decide not to provide all information, you may not be able totake part in available investment opportunities.
We may use some of your personal information to market to you and to others and for
incidental purposes. Not all information collected in respect of you is used for marketing and the majority of information is collected solely for the purpose of providing products, access to the website and any account you may have with us, and our services to you.
We disclose personal information we collect for those purposes, and for incidental
purposes. We may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for other
purposes which are within reasonable expectations or where permitted by law. When
marketing to you, your personal information is only ever used or disclosed for our own
purposes. You may opt out of our direct marketing to you. Our direct marketing materials may tell you how to do this.
We may de-identify your personal information. We may do this for use and disclosure of
the anonymous data for various data analytics purposes.
Accessing and changing your personal information

Before we provide you with access to your personal information we may require some proof of identity. We may charge a reasonable fee for giving access to your personal information if your request requires substantial effort on our part.
Changing your information: If you need to correct personal information we hold, please
contact our Privacy Officer.
Complaints about our management of personal information?
If you wish to complain about a breach of the privacy rules that bind us, you may contactour Privacy Officer at one of the above contact points. We may ask you to put yourcomplaint in writing and to provide details about it. We may discuss your complaint withour personnel and our service providers and others as appropriate.
Our Privacy Officer will investigate the matter and attempt to resolve it in a timely way. Our Privacy Officer will inform you in writing about the outcome of the investigation. If our Privacy Officer does not resolve your complaint to your satisfaction and no other complaint resolution procedures are agreed or required by law, our Privacy Officer will inform you that your complaint may be referred to the relevant privacy regulator for further investigation and will provide you with the regulator’s contact details.
Our sharing of your personal information overseas
We may disclose your personal information to and/or collect your personal information
with those who are in countries other than your own location. We do this:
• where we have made a business decision to store our data with a trusted service
provider who is in the business of providing data storage and processing services.
Examples are those who store and process our email and mobile application data.
These services commonly involve diverse geographic locations which change from
time to time for reasons which include data protection and processing efficiency.
Where these services are used by us, it is not practical for us to notify you of which
country your personal information may be located in;
• for disclosures between our group entities. Our main business location is in Australia
but we do business in a number of countries, and some of our group companies
may be based in other countries from time to time; and
• when our business that collected your personal information is in a different country
to your location.
• any entity where disclosure to, or collection from, such entity is required, permitted
or authorised by any law (including the Privacy Act);
• customer, product, business or strategic research and development organisations;
• data warehouse, strategic learning organisations and data partners;
• publicly available sources of information;
• member loyalty or rewards programs and other industry relevant organisations;
• a third party that we’ve contracted to provide business, administration or
consultancy services – for example: information technology providers, consultancy

service/imaging/document management providers;

• any organisation that assists us to gather or aggregate information for statistical,

• any organisation or person in connection with the sale of a clinic, its assets or any
part or whole of the Group;
• any other organisation or person, where you’ve asked them to provide your
personal information to us or asked us to obtain personal information from them;
or
• social media and other virtual communities and networks where people create,
share or exchange information, where we may collect your personal information but

We may disclose your personal information to recipients (overseas service providers) who are located outside Australia. We will only disclose personal information to overseas recipients where we have taken reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient will not breach the APPs in relation to your personal information.
We may disclose personal information where we reasonably believe that a failure to disclose such information places a patient or another person at risk to health or safety. We will use a variety of methods to collect your personal information from and disclose your personal information to, these persons or organisations, including written forms, telephone calls and via electronic delivery. We may collect and disclose your personal information to these persons and organizations regularly or on an ad hoc basis, depending on the purpose of collection.
We may disclose:
• customer information in connection with law enforcement, governmental
investigations or inquiries;
• to enforce compliance with the policies governing medical practices and applicable
laws; and
• to protect and enforce the intellectual property and other legal rights of the SILK
Laser Group.
Updates
This privacy policy is current at the date below. We reserve the right to review, amend,
update and change this Privacy Policy from time to time and for any reason, including to
reflect our practices on how we handle personal information or the types of personal
information which we hold and our statutory obligations. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be published on our website. Please return periodically to review our privacy policy and ensure your understanding is up to date.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the security of the information transmitted
between browsers and our web server, including using firewalls, SSL encryption technology and other security technologies where deemed appropriate by the Group. To protect your privacy, however, please do not use e-mail to communicate information you wish to be kept strictly confidential. You acknowledge that any transmission of data may be illegally intercepted and used by third parties. Peaceful Beauty, Peaceful Nature and associated entities shall not be responsible for any interception of data transmitted to or from our web server.
All pages that require you to enter your personal information or payment details on our
site use 128 bit SSL encryption. To ensure that the page you are viewing uses 128 bit SSL
encryption, you should look for the padlock icon in your browser.
Other privacy terms and limits of this policy
This is a policy only. There may be additional privacy notices and terms relevant to you
depending on the nature of your dealings with us. We have separate charters concerning our employees – this policy does not apply to the personal information of our employees in their capacity as such.
Although we offer you access to external websites through the links we have provided,
those websites are not subject to our privacy standards, policies and procedures. We
recommend that you make your own enquires as to the privacy policies of these third
parties. Peaceful Nature and Peaceful Beauty are in no way responsible for the privacy
practices of third parties.

representations or warranties in relation to the privacy practices of any third-party website,
and we are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of any third party website.
